Choreographic Works

“El Hambre” is the Program’s highlight, choreographed by Catanach and being premiered in Lubbock before dancer’s Racz and Eriksson take it next week to South Korea’s International dance festival... it works because of Catanach’s skill at forcing audiences to feel while often leaving interpretations open... Catanach cannot be ignored... “El Hambre” manages to be rhythmic and wild, sexy and tragic... the trust shared by both dancers is evident with every difficult, dangerously close encounter... their performance was so dramatically piercing that one wishes it were available on tape for repeated viewings. It’s that good...
